Paragrammatism

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Paragrammatism describes a confused or incomplete use of grammatical rules , which occurs primarily in speech disorders (e.g. Wernicke aphasia ). The ability to form grammatically correct sentences is limited, incorrect sentence interleaving and duplication of sentence parts occur. The actual sentence structure is complex.

Paraphasias , which also often occur in acquired language disorders, are not meant by paragrammatism.

Example: "I am now building a small house with my husband."
