Pardisan
The Pardisan Park ( Persian پارک پردیسان Pārk-e Pardisan ; literally: forest park of the small western town ) is a multifunctional park complex in the northwestern district of Shahrak-e Gharb in Tehran . It borders several highways and the Mahmudabad district. To the east of the park is the Milād Tower .
The park covers an area of more than 270 hectares and is primarily used for environmental research and education purposes, with the aim of raising visitors' awareness of the environment in an entertaining way. In the park there is a museum for biodiversity , a museum for game , a theater, several playgrounds and some other facilities.
In addition, different animals live there, such as the Pallas cat , a small Asian cat whose name goes back to the naturalist Peter Simon Pallas , who was the first to describe it. According to Pallas, it can be assumed that the manul - as the cat is also called - is to be regarded as an ancestor of the Persian cat because of its long fur and flat face .
