Bordsch-e Milad , other (English) spelling Borj-e Milad ( Persian برج میلاد Bordsch-e Mīlād , DMG Borǧ-e mīlād , 'Tower of Birth'; English Milad Tower ), is a television tower in the Iranian capital Tehran and with 435 meters the highest tower in the country and the sixth highest television tower in the world . It stands northwest of the center in the Gischā districtand is an eye-catcher in the cityscape due to its elevated location.

The Bordsch-e Milad was designed by the architect Mohammad Reza Hafezi .

The tower cage consists of twelve floors and extends from 250 meters to 315 meters in height. With an area of ​​12,000 m², the Bordsch-e Milad has the largest tower cage in the world. The tower has a staircase and elevators. The steel antenna mast is 120 meters high.

The television tower offers several viewing platforms for visitors and tourists. A restaurant has also been located at an altitude of 276 meters since May 2005. It is part of the new trade center The Tehran International Trade and Convention Center .

The Tehran city administration is the client for the television tower. The television tower is the sixth highest in the world and has the largest tower restaurant in the world in its tower cage with space for 400 people.

Sports

On December 6, 2017, an international flight of stairs took place for the second time as part of the Towerrunning World Cup over the 1866 steps to the viewing level called the Skydome at 302 m. Both men's and women's competitions were held and the respective winners were awarded prize money in the four-digit euro range.
