Parisian engraving

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Parisian stitch is a unit of measurement in the shoe industry. It was established in France around 1800 . One Parisian stitch is equal to 0.667 centimeters . For the calculation, the last length (in centimeters) is divided by the Parisian stitch and you get the shoe size . Conversely, the shoe size multiplied by the Paris stitch results in the last length. The last length is usually 1.5 to 2 centimeters longer than the foot length .
