Park Chan-yong (* 10. June 1963 in Hwasun , South Korea ) is a former South Korean boxer and WBA world champion in the bantamweight .

Professional career

Park began his professional career in 1980. On May 24, 1987 he boxed against Takuya Muguruma for the world championship title of the association WBA and won by technical knockout in round 11. However, he lost this belt in his first title defense on October 3 of the same year to Wilfredo Vázquez by knockout in the 10th round.

In 1992 he ended his career.
