The Parma Panthers are an Italian American football team. They were founded in 1981 and currently play in the Italian Football League , the top national division. The Panthers are four-time winners of the Italian Super Bowl .

history

The Parma Panthers were founded in the fall of 1981 by Victor Dasaro. For the 1983 season, the Panthers took part in the league and qualified with six wins in ten games for the play-offs for the Italian championship. Two years later they achieved what has long been the greatest success in the club's history when they made it to the semi-finals. The Parma Panthers disbanded in 1995 and were re-established seven years later under the same name.
