The Parpen Crags are a striking and isolated cliff in the south of Coronation Island in the archipelago of the South Orkney Islands . It rises near the head of Norway Bight .
The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey took from 1948 to 1950 surveys before. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named the cliff in 1955. Parpen is an English term for a so-called tie-through or tie stone in masonry .
