Parque Juarez

Parque Juarez

Parque Juárez is a public park in Xalapa in Veracruz in eastern Mexico .

It is named after Benito Juárez and was inaugurated 20 years after his death in 1892.

The park is located in the center of Xalapa.

The “Agorá de la Ciudad” cultural center with a cinema, a theater and galleries is located in the park.

In the south of the park you can see the Pico de Orizaba and the Cofre de Perote .

The site on which the park is now has been the site of the San Francisco Convent since the 16th century.
