The Party of Dignity ( Arabic حزب الكرامة, DMG Ḥizb al-Karāma ) was a left-wing Nasserist political party in Egypt , founded in 1996 as a split from the Arab Democratic Nasserist Party (ADNP) and involved in the April 6 Youth Movement . On September 28, 2012, they reunited with the ADNP to form the new Nasserist Party .
The last chairman of the party was Hamdin Sabahi . The Party of Dignity was a member of the Democratic Alliance for Egypt , led by the Muslim Brotherhood and its Freedom and Justice Party .
In 2011, the party ran for the first time since it was founded. While the Democratic Alliance won 235 out of 498 seats (47.2%) in the 2012 parliamentary elections , the Party of Dignity only won 6 seats in the People's Assembly .
