Party for Peace and Development
The Party for Peace and Development ( Somali : Xisbiga Nabadda Iyo Horumarka , English Peace and Development Party , PDP) is a social democratic political party in Somalia . It was founded in 2011 by the current Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud . The PDP is the first political party after the civil war in 1992.
All 155 PDP members elected Hassan Sheikh Mohamud on April 17th and 18th, 2011 for the next three years as their party leader.
