Party badge of the NSDAP for foreigners

The party badge of the NSDAP for foreigners belongs to the group of decorations of the NSDAP . It was created by Adolf Hitler for a group of people selected by him and was only rarely awarded during the National Socialist era .

history

Apparently Hitler gave foreigners a special version of the NSDAP party badge as a badge in gold at his own discretion . So far, no foundation decree has been found for this badge, and it is also uncertain from what point in time the actual awards took place. A matriculation for this badge is also no longer available. The recipients seem to have been prominent sympathizers of the NSDAP who could not join the party as foreigners.

Structure of the badge

The badge is made of two parts. The obverse is designed as an overhead plate made of silver with enamelled inlets. There are no gold areas on the viewing side. The plate has a diameter of 23 mm and in a white-enamelled center piece a black-enameled swastika on top, which has a narrow silver border. The center piece is surrounded by a colored, enamelled silver ring. This has a "strawberry-red" color. The usual inscription on the Nazi party badge “NATIONAL-SOCIALISTISCHE DAP” is missing.

The lower back plate is made of matt gold. A facsimile signature of Adolf Hitler is engraved as a signature in the upper part. Manufacturer designations, gold or silver content information or information about the carrier (matriculation number) are missing. The otherwise usual safety pin attachment has been replaced by a special safety pin fastener.
