Parva Domus Magna Quies

The Parva Domus Magna Quies is a building in the Uruguayan capital, Montevideo .

The building, whose foundation stone was laid on July 25, 1915 and opened on January 21, 1917, is located in Punta Carretas on the border with Barrio Parque Rodó at 136 Bulevar Artigas , corner Parva Domus . The city administration classifies the building as a site of interest. Information about the architect is not available. In the building there is a main reception hall and several halls used, for example, for exhibitions, conferences, assemblies or festivities. It houses the seat of the República de la Parva Domus Magna Quies , founded on August 25, 1878 , a kind of micronation with its own constitution of August 21, 1895, as well as its own flag and anthem. This republic has its own government made up of president and ministers, determined by secret and direct election. This system of government is based on a constitution promulgated on October 27, 1917.
