Thomas Pasatieri
Thomas Pasatieri (born October 20, 1945 in New York City ) is an American composer.
Pasatieri was a student of Nadia Boulanger and studied from 1962 to 1965 at the Juilliard School of Music , where he taught composition, later at the Manhattan School and at the College-Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati . From 1980 to 1984 he was artistic director of the Atlanta Opera . He then moved to Los Angeles , where numerous film scores were made.
He orchestrated the music for more than fifty films and composed the song She Rescues Him Right Back in Pretty Woman . But he was best known as the composer of numerous operas and over four hundred songs .
