Pascal Danel

Pascal Danel (born March 31, 1944 in Paris ) is a French singer and composer.

Life

He started his singing career in 1964.

After two minor successes he reached number 1 in the charts in France and several other European countries with "La Plage aux Romantiques", a gold album in 1966. In 1967 the international success "Kilimandjaro", a platinum album and N ° 1 single, followed in six Recorded languages.

The song has been recorded over 180 times by various international artists and is one of the French standards of the decade. A striking line of text in the Kilimandjaro chanson reads: "Elles te feront un blanc manteau où tu pourras dormir."

He often recorded his songs in Italian, Spanish or Japanese and toured the world.

He had another N ° 1 hit with "Comme Une Enfant". Several top 10 hits followed in the late 60s and 70s.

In 1979 "La Plage aux Romantiques" was again among the top 5.
