Romanian paska

Paska ( Russian and Ukrainian Пáска) is a milk bread that is traditionally baked for Easter . It is mainly found in the countries of Eastern Europe , the Caucasus, and Central Asia. It is made from milk, eggs, flour, and lemons and tastes sweet. It is decorated with dough shapes, similar to a yeast plait. There is often a cross in the middle. Before baking, the outside of the dough is moistened with milk, which later turns the crust a maroon brown color. The egg yolk gives the paska a yellowish color inside.
