Passage Tomb from Abbeyquarter North

The Passage Tomb of Abbeyquarter North is located in the townland of Abbeyquarter North ( Irish Ceathrú na Mainistreach Thuaidh ) on a roundabout on Garavogue Villas in a housing estate in east Sligo in County Sligo in Ireland .

The Passage Tomb is of the same type as the not far away megalithic complexes at Carrowmore with a central cruciform chamber.

During the 19th century, the Catholic Church tried to remove the memorial, also known as Garavogue Feen Fort, but could not find any helpers. The church erected several statues on the roundabout in 1950.
