Passe (Angola)
Passe is a district of the municipality of Bocoio in the district of the same name in the Angolan province of Benguela with 19,857 inhabitants (2003). In addition to Passe, the community consists of the other districts of Chila , Cubal do Lumbo and Monte-Belo . The area has been badly affected by uncleared landmines from the time of Angola's civil war . In 2012, a drought destroyed around 55,000 hectares of farmland in and around Bocoio. In the meantime, pineapples are also grown to diversify agricultural production.
The Christian Children's Fund Angola has been running a health post in Passe since April 4, 2003 , which, however, is little frequented because of the extremely thin population in the area. The European Union sponsored the reconstruction of the local school in Passe after the end of the civil war.
