Oren Patashnik

Oren Patashnik (* 1954 ) is an American computer scientist .

Patashnik studied at Yale and Stanford . He became known through his work on BibTeX , and he also wrote on Concrete Mathematics: A Foundation for Computer Science . He is a researcher at the Center for Communications Research in La Jolla .

Oren Patashnik completely solved Qubic in 1980 through exhaustive searches. He proved that when the game is optimal, the player who makes the first move always wins.
