Paterson Islands

The Paterson Islands are a group of small islands off the Mawson Coast of the East Antarctic Mac Robertson Land . They are 6 km northeast of the Klungholmane .

Norwegian cartographers mapped the islands using aerial photographs taken during the Lars Christensen expedition in 1936/37 . The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia named them after Alexander J. F. Paterson, a radio technician at Mawson Station in 1963.
