The Cooperation Sea ( Russian Море Содружества More Sodruschestwa ) is a section of the Southern Ocean off the coast of East Antarctica . It extends to a western border at 59 ° 34 'E along the Enderbylands , the West Ice Shelf , the Mac Robertson Lands to Princess Elizabeth Land at 85 ° 0' E. With a total area of 258,000 km 2 is it is bounded in the west by the Cosmonaut Sea and in the east by the Davissee .

The cooperation lake was named in 1962 by participants in a Soviet Antarctic expedition in recognition of international cooperation in the exploration of Antarctica. The designation is not recorded in the Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica and has not yet been recognized by the Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research .
