Patriarchate of Peć

The Patriarchate of Peć was a Bulgarian-Serbian church from 1346 to 1463 and 1557 to 1766. In Skopje , the Archbishop of Sava of Serbia was elevated to patriarchate for the Kingdom of Stefan Dusan . The purpose of this church was to eradicate Bogomilism in Bosnia and integrate the Serbs into Orthodoxy .

The church includes the old dioceses of Bulgaria and the newly created lands of Sava of Serbia in the Serbian lands.
