Patrick Delorme
Patrick Delorme is a French mathematician who specializes in harmonic analysis .
Delorme received his doctorate in 1975 from the University of Paris VI with Alain Guichardet (Thèse de 3ème cycle: 1-cohomologie et produits tensoriels continus de représentations ). In 1978 the second part of the doctorate (Thèse d'Etat) took place. He is a professor at the University of Aix-Marseille (Institut de Mathématiques de Luminy).
He deals with harmonic analysis on reductive symmetric spaces (including analogue of Paley-Wiener theorem for symmetric spaces, independent of E. van den Ban and H. Schlichtkrull).
Delorme was invited speaker at the International Congress of Mathematicians in Beijing 2002 (Harmonic analysis on real reductive symmetric spaces).
In 2009 he became a member of the Institut Universitaire de France. In 2000 he received the Prix Ernest Déchelle of the Academie des Sciences.
