Patrick Janik

Patrick Janik (born March 26, 1976 in Starnberg ) is a German politician of the Independent Voting Group (UWG) . He has been Mayor of Starnberg since May 2020 . His predecessor was Eva John .

Life

Janik grew up in Starnberg, where he attended elementary school and later high school, which he graduated with his Abitur in 1995. He did his community service in the field of mobile care for the elderly. He then completed his law degree at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . After completing the two state exams, he worked in several law firms specializing in public law and real estate law . He has been a member of the Starnberg City Council since 2015 and has been the parliamentary group leader of his group since 2016.

As a candidate for the CSU , SPD and two independent groups of voters (UWG) and (BLS), he won the 2020 local elections against incumbent Eva John .

He is married.
