Patrick Klyk (born October 1, 1975 ) is a German former soccer player and current coach .

Career

Klyk played at FV 08 Püttlingen in his youth and moved to 1. FC Saarbrücken in 1992 , where he was initially part of the amateur team. In June 1994 Klyk made his debut in the 2nd Bundesliga when he was substituted on the last day of the season after 56 minutes for Wenanty Fuhl at the away game in Rostock. In the following season he was a contract amateur in the squad of the second division and came to another 13 professional missions. At the end of the 1994/95 season Saarbrücken was refused the license for the 2nd Bundesliga, and the club had to relegate to the Regionalliga West / Südwest . After another season at Saarbrücken, he moved to the second division SV Waldhof Mannheim . There he came, also thrown back again and again by a knee injury, only for a brief assignment on the eleventh game day of the 1996/97 season. After this disappointing guest appearance, he returned to Saarbrücken, but was hardly able to play any more games there in the period that followed. He then continued his career in the regional league at SV Elversberg . With Elversberg he managed to stay up three times, after another injury during the third season at Elversberg he ended his football career in 2002 at the age of 26.

In November 2007 he took over as coach of the Saar association league club SV Röchling Völklingen , with whom he was promoted to the Oberliga Südwest in summer 2011. He led SV Röchling in the Oberliga 2011/12 after a strong first half of the season (fifth place) to keep them up. In the summer of 2012, Patrick Klyk moved to league competitor FSV Salmrohr . In the Salmtal he signed a two-year contract.
