Pattukkottai ( Tamil : பட்டுக்கோட்டை Paṭṭukkōṭṭai [ ˈpaʈːɯˌkːoːʈːɛi̯ ], also Pattukottai ) is a city in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu . The population is around 73,000 (2011 census).
