Patzschke & Partner Architects
Patzschke & Partner Architects is an architecture office in Berlin . It was founded by the twin brothers Jürgen and Rüdiger Patzschke (* 1938) and is now being run as a family business. The office works mainly on contemporary buildings in the classical style. It became particularly famous with the Grand Hotel Kempinski Adlon in Berlin-Mitte, which was completed in 1997 .
architecture office
The architecture office was founded in 1968 by the twin brothers Jürgen Patzschke and Rüdiger Patzschke (* 1938). It concentrates on classic-traditional and historicizing architecture, contrary to the "grid architecture". Plastic details are emphasized in the building designs.
From 1991 to 1999 Rainer-Michael Klotz was a partner, and the office community was called Patzschke, Klotz & Partner .
One focus is the planning of hotels and high-quality residential and commercial buildings in over 15 countries. A generation change has developed since 2002. Robert Patzschke and Till-Jonathan Patzschke now manage the studio together with partners Michael Mohn and Christoph Schwebel; Michael Matusiak is the artistic director. In addition to the headquarters in Berlin, a branch office has been set up in Goa , India , since 2005 . Another branch is located in Istanbul , Turkey.
criticism
The office was initially criticized for the historicizing Hotel Adlon around 1997 ("roaring deer made of stone").
