Paul Bräcklein

Paul Bräcklein (born September 26, 1882 in Buchholz ; † September 6, 1972 ) was a German policeman and dialect poet from the western Ore Mountains .

Paul Bräcklein became a police officer in his hometown of Buchholz in 1919 and later promoted to chief master. In his spare time he wrote numerous occasional poems, including the 1910 Buchholzer Lied (today known as the Buchholzer National Song ) based on the Viennese parade of the guard . He lived in Bergstrasse 29 in Buchholz, on which a memorial plaque has been attached since October 11, 1997.
