Paul Herbst (life dates unknown) was a German football player .

Herbst belonged as a striker to the BFC Concordia 1895 , with whom he played point games as a climber in the 1908/09 season in the Berlin championship carried out by the Association of Berliner Ballspielvereine and was able to keep the class as seventh of nine participating clubs.

The following season , Herbst switched to BFC Hertha 1892 . There he played 12 games, with two goals.

Selection team

As a player in the selection team of the Association of Berlin Ball Game Clubs, he took part in the first ever competition for the Crown Prince's Cup, the DFB's first German cup competition, which was held by the regional associations that existed at the time. After his selection team managed to prevail in qualifying against the selection team of the Märkischer Fußball-Bund , they met the selection team of the North German Football Association on February 21, 1909 on the field of SC Victoria Hamburg , which was defeated 4-1.
