Paul Leka

Paul Leka (born February 20, 1943 in Bridgeport , † October 12, 2011 in Sharon ) was an American songwriter , pianist and arranger .

Life

The son of the Albanian emigrants Theodore and Dhimitra Leka took piano lessons and tried to sell his self-written songs at the age of 16 . In the 1960s he played in the group The Chateaus , which also included Gary DeCarlo and Dale Frashuer. He later wrote songs for other groups such as The Lemon Pipers and The Peppermint Rainbow .
