Paul Lukas (musician)
Paul Lukas , actually Eckard Paul Fietze (* 1956 in Treysa , Schwalm-Eder-Kreis ) is a German musician , author and translator .
Life
After high school , which he dropped out of before graduating from high school, Lukas worked as a cemetery gardener, surveyor, educational assistant and bricklayer and ran a record shop. In 1981 he moved to West Berlin , where he worked as a truck driver, bartender and concert organizer. He was the bass player for Die Toten Piloten and founded the band Element of Crime in 1985 with Uwe Bauer, Jürgen Fabritius, Jakob Ilja and Sven Regener , of which he was a member until 1995. In 1996 he released a solo album ( The Fear of a Singer ), and in 1998 his debut novel IHN appeared . Lukas translates English-language literature into German and wrote a second novel entitled Vinyl , which was published in 2012.
