Paul Rouaix

Paul Rouaix (* 1850 ; † after 1941) was a French art critic, romance scholar and lexicographer .

Life

Rouaix was a novelist, art critic, grammarian and lexicographer. He modernized the dictionary type “dictionnaire analogique” (from the idea to the word), developed by Prudence Boissière as the successor to Peter Mark Roget , a term dictionary of its own, so that it has been on the market under various titles from 1898 to the present day could and was widely imitated (not only in France, but also in Spain and the United States).
