Paul Tingley

Paul Tingley (born June 1, 1970 ) is a Canadian sailor.

Tingley, who from Halifax native, began at the age of ten years in Flying Junior with the sailing . He suffered paralysis in a skiing accident when he was 24 years old. A year after the accident, he started racing. He is a member of the Nova Scotia Yacht Squadron. At the 2008 Summer Paralympics , he won a gold medal in the one-man keelboat . In 2000 he and his team had already achieved bronze in Sydney, in 2004 the sailors also took part in the Paralympics, but only achieved seventh place in Athens.
