Paul Upchurch

Paul Upchurch (born October 18, 1967 ) is a British vertebrate paleontologist who works on dinosaurs . He is a Reader in Paleontology at University College London .

Upchurch received his bachelor's degree from Cambridge University in 1986 and his PhD in 1993 ( The anatomy, phylogeny and systematics of Sauropod Dinosaurs ). He has been at University College London since 2003.

He deals with the systematics, evolution, behavior and biogeography of dinosaurs, especially sauropods .

He is the first to describe Isisaurus , Lithostrotia and Shanxia .
