Paulius Augius

Paulius Augius (born September 2, 1909 in Gečaičiai , district of Plungė , † December 7, 1960 in Chicago ) was a Lithuanian painter and woodcut artist . He painted landscapes, depictions of peasants, figurines, title pages and illustrated books. He had an exhibition in Kaunas from 1935 to 1939 . In the 1950s he was based in Memmingen in Upper Swabia ; his work was limited to Memmingen and Kaunas. He taught at the Kaunas Art School.
