Paulkopfswarte
The Paulkopfswarte is a former watchtower on the eastern edge of the Huy near Dingelstedt am Huy in the Harz district . The square tower made of shell limestone was originally around 12 m high and had a footprint of 6 × 6 meters. It is about 260 meters above sea level. In the meantime the tower has collapsed and the ruins are no longer accessible.
It was built in the middle of the 15th century by the Halberstadt Monastery to protect the Huysburg . Together with the drone tower in Osterwieck, the Bimmelturm in Dardesheim which Heiketalwarte which Sargstedter waiting and the Martini church tower belonged to the head Paul waiting for a chain of waiting towers of the city of Halberstadt and the Bishopric of Halberstadt.
