Paulmann Licht is a company based in Springe , which specializes mainly in the production and sale of lamps and lighting systems.
history
In 1968 Rüdiger Paulmann started selling lights in Wennigsen near Hanover , initially as a commercial agency . He specialized in various incandescent lamps such as gold light and globe.
In 1978 he then founded Paulmann Spezialglühlampen GmbH. He developed rope systems and creative lighting ideas. Since then, the business field has encompassed luminaires, luminaire systems and accessories related to the application possibilities of the special light bulb.
From 1984 Rüdiger Paulmann added halogen lighting systems and transformers to its range. As a result, the product range expanded over the years. The company's turnover exceeded 10 million euros for the first time in 1988, and in 1994 the group turnover exceeded 50 million euros.
In 1988 recessed lights became the focus of the product range.
In 1997 the company was relocated to a new logistics center in Springe - Völksen . Then the delivery area was expanded to almost all of Europe. Quality assurance , product development , administration and logistics are located in Springe .
In 2001 a group turnover of more than 80 million euros was achieved and the company delivered to 25 European countries. In 2003 the company's logistics center was expanded to include a picking hall. The company founder Rüdiger Paulmann became chairman of the advisory board in 2004 and handed over the management of the company to his son Detlev Paulmann, who has since formed the management together with Thomas Hamann and Dirk Oldenburg. In 2005 the range comprised 2500 products and the company was present in 38 European countries through agencies and sales offices.
On January 27, 2011, DIE FAMILIENUNTERNEHMER - ASU awarded the "Entrepreneur of the Year 2011" prize to Detlev Paulmann, the managing partner of Paulmann Licht GmbH.
In 2012 Paulmann expanded the logistics to a total of 18 exit ramps. The company has its own subsidiaries in u. a. Austria, France and Spain.
All teams involved in product development and marketing moved into the newly built Paulmann development center in 2016.
In March 2017 Detlev Paulmann switched to the advisory board. Oliver Windbrake takes over the chairmanship of the management.
The Paulmann Group has around 450 employees, 260 of them at the headquarters in Völksen / Springe.
Products of the company are the design -Prices red dot design award award excellent design, design and German iF product.
