Pavel Hoftych (born May 9, 1967 in Ústí nad Labem ) is a former Czech football player and current football coach .

In his youth, Hoftych played for Český lev Neštěmice and Armaturka Ústí nad Labem . He did his military service at VTJ Žatec, in 1988 he moved to the first Czechoslovak league to RH Cheb , where he came on 21 missions in which he scored two goals. The next stop of the defensive player was the second division Mova Slušovice.
In 1992 Hoftych was committed by Svit Zlín , with whom he was promoted to the newly founded Czech first division in June 1993. In Zlín he came to another 63 first division games, he scored one goal. He spent the 1995/96 season in the second division at FC Příbram , then Hoftych played four years in the Austrian Regionalliga Ost for ASKÖ Klingenbach . After returning to the Czech Republic, he played for Hanácká Slavia Kroměříž and Sokol Lůžkovice.
Trainer
Hoftych started his coaching career as a coach in the youth department of his former club Tescoma Zlín . From 2001 to 2006 he was assistant coach and from 2001 to 2003 he was also head coach of the B team. He also held these two positions in the 2006/07 season at 1. FC Slovácko , and in November 2006 he returned to Zlín as head coach. For the 2008/09 season, Hoftych took over the team from Bohemians 1905 Prague . In the summer of 2011 he became a coach at the Slovak first division club Spartak Trnava .
