Pavel Hrdlička

Pavel Hrdlička (* 1973 in Brandýs nad Labem ) is a Czech film editor and musician .

Life

Pavel Hrdlička has been working as a film editor since the mid-1990s. In the beginning he edited documentaries and short films, but eventually established himself in feature films and was responsible for editing Czech-Made Man and Polski film . For his work on Mistři , Protektor and most recently on Burning Bush - The Heroes of Prague , he was each awarded a Český lev for the best cut. The latter was the first collaboration with the renowned Polish director Agnieszka Holland , for whom he has since also edited Die Spur and Charlatan .

Hrdlička is also active as a musician. Among other things, he is co-founder of the Czech pop band Mig 21 with actor Jiří Macháček , for which he has been working as a trumpeter and keyboardist ever since. The band has released several albums since it was founded, and they have made it into the charts.
