Pavel Kaplun (* 1965 in Kuznetsk , Soviet Union ) is a Russian-German painter, photographer, digital artist, trainer and author.

Life

Kaplun completed a chemistry degree before emigrating to Germany with his wife Olga in 1991. In 1992 the chemical engineer began painting. From 1994 to 1995 he worked in Schwalenberg on an art scholarship . In the period from 1992 to 2000, numerous works of art (oil, watercolor, etching, sculpture) were created, which were shown in various exhibitions at home and abroad. In 1995 Kaplun signed a contract with the Goebel porcelain factory , for which he designed several porcelain art editions as part of the “Artis Orbis - Art of this World” program.

In 1999 Kaplun started working as a photo artist after he was hired as a graphic designer in an advertising agency . With the Photoshop program , he created numerous photo montages that have won awards at international photo salons. Since 2005 Pavel Kaplun has been teaching photography, digital image processing and image composing . Together with his wife he founded a studio in Hanover where he works as a photographer, post-producer and trainer. Kaplun has been a specialist book author since 2005. The publishing houses Data Becker , Galileo Design and Addison-Wesley published books and video trainings about Photoshop, Photoshop Elements , Photoshop Lightroom and digital image processing .

Since September 2015 Pavel Kaplun has been operating as the creative studio Pavel Kaplun GmbH together with his co-managing director Miho Birimisa.

Kaplun is the father of two children.
