Pawel Kapitonowitsch Makarov (also Paul Makar or Pavel Makar ; Russian Павел Макаров26. January 1919 , † 1963 in France ) was a football player from the Soviet Union with Ukrainian origin.

Career

Pavel Makarov played football for the city club Dinamo in Rostov-on-Don in what was then the Soviet Union . This was followed by further positions at FC Dinamo Charkiw and FC Spartak Leningrad . After the Second World War he played first division football under the name Makar in the Oberliga Süd for the Stuttgarter Kickers , the Karlsruher FC Phönix and the TSG Ulm 1846 . He then worked in England for Chelmsford City before moving to France the following season, taking on French citizenship and playing there for several years for Olympique Nîmes and FC de Grenoble Dauphiné . The midfielder was then active at the Canadian club Trident Toronto before returning to France, where he played for USM Montargis , US Viesly and FC Vauverdois .

From 1957 to 1962 Makarow was also the coach of Viesly.
