Pay radio

The term pay radio refers to private radio stations , the reception of which incurs additional costs (regardless of the broadcasting fees prescribed in Germany ). In return for payment, the customer can receive one or more programs from a provider for the duration of a subscription or per broadcast (“on demand”).

The other details largely correspond to those of Pay TV , which is usually sold by the same providers. Well-known providers of pay radio include the media group Premiere and Sirius Satellite Radio .
