Pacific southern polar basin

The Pacific Southern Polar Basin (also known as the Pacific-Antarctic Basin ) is a sea basin in the southeastern Pacific Ocean . It is up to 5399 m deep and is located between the southern slopes of the East Pacific Rise in the north, the Easter threshold and the southern tip of South America in the Northeast, which is already the Atlantic Ocean belonging Südantillenbecken in the East, West Antarctica in the south east and south, and the South Pacific back to the west and northwest .
The name of the basin has been recognized by the Advisory Committee for Undersea Features (ACUF) since January 1963 .
