Peace Valley Park is a 6 km² park in Pennsylvania , in Bucks County . The park encloses the Lake Galena reservoir . The lake is 1.5 km² in size. The park and lake are very popular destinations from Philadelphia and Doylestown . There is a place of pilgrimage for the Americans of Polish descent near the park . The Roman Catholic Church National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa is home to a painting of the Black Madonna of Częstochowa in Poland . The five-day Polish American Family Festival and Country Fair takes place annually on the 0.69 km² area of the church . Some zones within the park may not be entered because of the conservation of species protection . To the northeast of the park is the Peace Valley Nature Center , an educational, recreational and bird watching facility.
In the park you can go hiking, cycling, fishing, picnicking or renting a boat. The loop trail around the lake is about 6 miles. The difference in elevation is approximately 269 ft.
