Pedro Legarreta

Pedro Legarreta or Pedro Legorreta , also known by the nickname Perico , was a Mexican football player in the position of defender .

Life

Legarreta played at least in the period between 1920/21 and 1925/26 for Club America , with whom he won the championship of the capital league twice in a row in the seasons 1924/25 and 1925/26 .

Legarreta was also one of seven players who played the first six games in the history of the Mexican national team , all of which were played against the southern neighbor Guatemala in 1923.

Both in the national team and in the club, Legarreta (on the right) formed the central defense together with the team captain and the American icon Rafael Garza Gutiérrez .
