Pedro Miguel Lopes
Pedro Miguel Lopes Gonçalves (born June 29, 1975 in Santo Estêvão ) is a former Portuguese cyclist .
Pedro Miguel Lopes started his career in 1994. In 1996 he finished 48th in the road race of the Olympic Games . From 1998 to 2004 he was under contract with the Portuguese cycling team LA-Pecol . In his first season there, he was able to win a stage of the Tour of Portugal ; In 2002 he was able to celebrate further stage victories at the Tour of Asturias and at the Troféu Joaquim Agostinho . In 2004 he won the road race of the national championship but was disqualified for a positive doping test. From the 2007 season Lopes drove for the Portuguese Professional Continental Team Benfica .
After another doping offense, Lopes was banned from the Portuguese Cycling Federation for 15 years. He should not have appeared several times for doping tests.
