Pedro Serrano (seafarer)

Pedro Serrano was a Spanish navigator . Serrano had the rank of captain. He became famous as a survivor of a shipwreck in 1528 that left him stranded on a sandbar in the Caribbean . He was not saved until 1536.

The Serrana Bank atoll was named in his honor.
