Pelabuhan Ratu is a fishing village in the Jawa Barat Province (West Java) in Indonesia . It is located on the south coast of Java on the Indian Ocean and belongs to the Sukabumi administrative district .

Pelabuhan Ratu ("Port of the Queen") owes its name to the Javanese mythology, according to which the divine Queen Nyai Loro Kidul is said to live in the ocean in the bay in front of this and some other places on the Javanese south coast. Magical powers are attributed to her.

In addition to fishing, tourism is an important industry. There are various hotels and resorts along the beaches that stretch around the sweeping bay of Pelabuhan Ratu.
