The Pelias Bluff is a striking and more than 150 m high cliff on the Oskar II coast of Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . It rises immediately west of the Standring Inlet on the north side of the Jason Peninsula .
The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey mapped it in 1953. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1956 based on the name of the Jason Peninsula after Pelias , Jason’s uncle from Greek mythology .
