Economy and tourism
Pelzerhaken is a seaside resort on the Schleswig-Holstein Baltic Sea coast and is characterized by tourism . Pelzerhaken has a guarded sandy beach and tourist infrastructure. Hotels, guest houses, holiday homes and campsites are available, as well as shops and restaurants. They shape the image of the place as well as the short pier . Beach and bathing activities are possible, including water skiing and beach volleyball.
Sports
Pelzerhaken is an attractive surf spot in both westerly and easterly winds . Because of a sandbar belt, the water has a large area of standing depth and few waves. When there is a strong easterly wind, steep waves occur on the outer sandbanks, which can be used by surfers .
Regular events
Pelzerhaken was the venue of the Jever Surf Festival from 2010 to 2014.
