The pende sword is an African sword . African swords were developed and used in different countries and by different ethnic groups in Africa as weapons of war, hunting, culture and class. The respective designation of the weapon refers to a variant of this weapon type that is assigned to a certain ethnic group .
description
The pende sword has a double-edged, bulbous blade. The blade is narrow at the handle and widens towards the middle. From there the blade becomes narrower to the place . The place just cut off. The blade has two central ridges that run from the handle to almost the place. On site they unite to form a central ridge. Between the ridges there is a wide and deep hollow section (wrongly blood groove ). The booklet is made of wood. Small stones are set on it. The Pende sword is used by the Pende ethnic group.
